Meet Ben. He was raised on the salty shores of Virginia Beach before studying English at the College of William & Mary–an American university so old that its original construction was delayed by an “Indian uprising” in 1622. He graduated with highest honors and decided to follow his ears and his interest in music to New York, where he began working in the entertainment business with Jeff Rabhan and David Schulhof. He stumbled across a handful of Finns that fascinated him–Aki Kaurismäki, Pentti Saarikoski, and Hugo Simberg, to name a few–so he applied for a Fulbright Grant to Finland, which he was awarded in 2012. That summer he traded Manhattan for Helsinki, where he’s been living, working, and roaming through snowy streets since.
